One of the concerns of SonTa Foundation is to contribute to Education for Sustainable Development. We acknowledge that this is one of 17 Sustainable Development Goals and to fulfil the goal, the whole society, which include us, have to join and share our resources. SonTa Foundation promotes and supports initiatives in the education field which offer disadvantaged people the accessibility to knowledge, skills, values and behaviours needed for sustainable development.
Why do we focus on disadvantaged people? The inequality among society which is driven by profit left them behind meanwhile the poor people, the indigenous and other vulnerable groups are the most affected victim of climate change, disasters, pollution, the epidemic. As an organization of people who want to devote themselves to healing the world, we aim to gather resources on helping disadvantaged people effectively
We believe that sustainable education can help narrow the gap by equipping the beneficiaries with the life skills to adapt to globalization, the change of environment, economy, and technology, to promote the blend of cultures, to beware of the value of knowledge, and to understand the impact of climate change. SonTa Foundation is implementing the project Free high-quality English course for people in difficult circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City. We are helping children living in shelters, children's villages to have the opportunity to enjoy English course of high quality. Furthermore, SonTa Foundation encourages the youth to be involved in social works in remote areas by sponsoring volunteer campaigns by students in universities in Ho Chi Minh city. In future, SonTa Foundation team in Tanzania will implement an education project that helps children in a remote town access English courses. This project will support children to improve their ability in using English to complete the program at school properly.
We embrace any supports from the community to fulfill this global goal. Together, we can make positive changes for our society.
