In the view of the complicated situation of the epidemic in Ho Chi Minh City, continued regulations on social distancing were issued to curb the spread of the virus. The indirect impact of social distancing regulations on the livelihoods of self-employed groups, the poor, people living on the streets in Ho Chi Minh City has become severe, especially the pandemic has been going on for 2 years. Aware of this, the SonTa Foundation has actively searched for partners who plan to carry out activities to support meals and necessities for people of the above groups in order to provide financial support to support their plans.
We have selected organizations and groups that work regularly, have well-organized activities to maintain their operations during this time, comply with 5K regulations, and always maintain a positivity towards beneficiaries. SonTa Foundation has supported VND 104,000,000 in support funds for partners according to the following structure:
Trăng Khuyết Charity Foundation: 30,000,000 VND in accordance to the necessities to meet demand about 9 days of more than 700 elderly people and children being cared for in shelters supported by Trăng Khuyết.
Tấm lòng chung Group: 30,000,000 VND corresponding to 1200 - 1500 meals for homeless people cooked by the group
Đêm Sài Gòn Group: VND 30,000,000 equivalent to 3,000 meals for poor and homeless people prepared by the group.
Lien Tam Volunteer Group: 14,000,000 VND, equivalent to 200 packages for poor households prepared by the group.
We are still continuing to monitor and evaluate the situation so that we can develop the necessary coordination activities for groups with activities to support the disadvantaged in Ho Chi Minh City. The SonTa Foundation believes that if we work together to support groups in many areas of the city, the epidemic situation will be gradually controlled and people will have the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
Once again, many thanks to SonTa Foundation's partners for their dedication to society and the disadvantaged. Wishing you all safe and effective activities during this time!
