On March 12, 2021, the Foundation Secretary and 03 volunteers of SonTa Foundation collaborated with the YSD organization to donate basic necessities to Thien Phuoc Nhan Ai Shelter in Cu Chi. Specifically, SonTa Foundation's support includes 60 diaper bags, equivalent to the need for more than 3 months of the home and 48 boxes of sweetened condensed milk, equivalent to the 6-month demand here.
SonTa Foundation chose to support Thien Phuoc Shelter because it is a place to take care of more than 70 children with severe disabilities who cannot take care of themselves. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the support from the community for the shelters has been severely reduced, so the YSD organization has guided young people to create a project to raise funds for the shelters such as to conduct surveys and to connect resources with the shelter.
After considering the beneficiaries and influencers of the project, young people of YSD as well as volunteers of SonTa Foundation, the grant was approved. SonTa Foundation volunteers have had meaningful experiences at the shelter like interacting with children through feeding, playing with children as well as visiting nuns. After the activity ends, they will build a video by themselves calling for young people to participate in community services as well as support this shelter.
SonTa Foundation seeks to optimize benefits for beneficiaries and participants in each of our projects and activities. In the future, SonTa Foundation will design more community activities for young people to make each young person aware of their role in society.
