From early July, SonTa Foundation has surveyed 18 associations, groups and organizations with philanthropic activities to consider the possibility of coordination for the project COVID-19 RELIEF FOR DIFFICULTY AMID THE COVID-19. Up to now, 300,000,000 VND has been disbursed in order to timely support groups to carry out relief work.
In the first round, we selected organizations and groups that have regular and well-organized activities, maintain their operations during this time, comply with 5K regulations and always maintain a positive attitude towards beneficiaries. SonTa Foundation provided VND 104,000,000 for partners according to the following structure:
Trăng Khuyết Charity Foundation: 30,000,000 VND in accordance to the necessities to meet demand about 9 days of more than 700 elderly people and children being cared for in shelters supported by Trăng Khuyết.

In the second round, we continued to work with partners who were able to assist the homeless and scaled up our operations, while focusing on working towards the most vulnerable groups who faced difficulties to access to local support or sponsors. With 300,000,000 million VND for 05 groups and organizations, it is estimated that this cost has supported 10,424 beneficiaries. Specifically, there are about 700 lone elderly people and children in shelters supported by Trăng Khuyết Charity Foundation, about 9,724 homeless people, people in the poor areas where were quarantined, and people in extremely difficult circumstances have not received support packages. Among them, there are about 2,032 people received 14-day necessities, supported by groups of Lien Tam and One Egg a Day.
We are still continuing to monitor and evaluate the situation so that we can develop the necessary coordination activities for groups with activities to support the disadvantaged in Ho Chi Minh City. The SonTa Foundation believes that if we work together to support groups in many areas of the city, the epidemic situation will be gradually controlled and people will have the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
Once again, many thanks to SonTa Foundation's partners for their dedication to society and the disadvantaged. Wishing you all safe and effective activities during this time!
