On 12/03/2021, via cooperation with YSD, SonTa Foundation delivered successfully necessities support to Thien Phuoc Nhan Ai shelter which includes 1.200 diapers and 2 boxes of condensed sweetened milk. Apart from this package of support, our volunteers also played with children living in the shelter and helped the children to have lunch. After the activity, some shared their experiences and expressed their willingness to join the following activities in the future.
Before each activity which is related to children, we organise meetings for introduction, plan of activity and instruction of Child Protection commitment. Hence, the volunteers and our partner in YSD agree to confirm that the working attitude of SonTa Foundation team is professional.
Thanks to the demand survey of YSD, the support of SonTa Foundation matched with the demand of the shelter.
Huong, one of our volunteers, said that this is not the first time she involved in a social activity, however, this is the first experience working with children with disabilities. She felt that she is one of the lucky people that do not have to suffer from the pain and difficulties of illness and disability. After the activity, she wants to join the following projects to share her luck with anyone who are suffering and she hopes other young people will join her.
Thao shared that she felt grateful to her parents and family. She was brought up in happiness to fulfil her passion today, however, many children with difficult circumstances are abandoned and had no chance to live their life properly. She hopes that society and young people will do more to support the nuns in the shelter to take care of the children better.
Trang (the volunteer with a black shirt) discovered that children with mental disability have more emotion than she thought. She had not had an opportunity to work with people with disability before, therefore, she was surprised by the friendliness of children in the shelter. She now knows that they also need to be cared for, be hugged and have fun as other human beings. She wants to join other activity to help Thien Phuoc Nhan Ai shelter in the future.
