1. Purpose & Background

After over a year of supporting students at the Nui Tuong Education Project, SonTa Foundation identified a pressing need to improve learning conditions, especially in underprivileged areas. Many children still lack access to essential learning tools, books, and a supportive learning environment.

This trip was organized not only to deliver supplies but also to uplift students' motivation, encourage creative thinking, and connect them with more effective educational resources.

Why Nui Tuong?
The region is home to many children in vulnerable situations. With support from donors and partners, SonTa Foundation aimed to create a meaningful and lasting impact on both the local community and broader society.

2. Activities & Implementation

Timeline:

June 20 – July 28: Fundraising via online campaigns and donor outreach.
July 29 – 31: On-site visit to Nui Tuong for donation distribution and team-building activities with volunteers and staff.

Main Activities:

Donation Highlights:

Essentials for learning and daily life:
- 285 kg of rice to support local students' meals, especially for two children from low-income families (U. and D.).
- 1 laptop for sisters Kh. and V. to access online learning, with guidance from volunteers.
- 1 bicycle gifted to student H. to ease the commute to school.
- 200 paintable statues with materials for the Nui Tuong Art Club.
- Educational supplies: 72 books, 78 stationery kits, 20 notebooks, 482 pencils, and 180 pens for school and library use.
- 1,000,000 VND in funding for the Nui Tuong Art Club to support creative activities.

Community Engagement:

Meetings with local volunteers to better understand student needs.
10 volunteers and 2 staff members took part in an immersion trip to Cat Tien National Park, learning about forest restoration and nature-based sustainable livelihoods. Challenging hikes and river crossings built strong team bonds and inspired new ideas for future initiatives.

3. Partners & Supporters

This initiative was made possible through collaboration with:

Nui Tuong Education Project: Local coordination and gift distribution.
Rebike For Kids & Đêm Sài Gòn: Donations of bicycles and paintable statues.
Individual donors: Contributions of rice, books, school supplies, and meaningful gifts.

4. Key Outcomes

1,595 items delivered, including food, educational tools, and creative resources.
The Nui Tuong Art Club received essential funding and materials to continue fostering creativity.
Strengthened connections among volunteers from across the country, laying the groundwork for sustainable project development.

5. Post-Event & Future Plans

Donor Recognition: All donors will receive digital certificates of appreciation (PDF format).
2023 Outlook: SonTa Foundation will continue expanding support for disadvantaged children, with a focus on remote and mountainous regions. More details to come in upcoming updates.
