What is the program, where, when, and who is involved?
The School Lunch Program was launched in 2023 at Manyata Primary School by the Son & Oscar Foundation, in collaboration with local cooks. The initiative provides students with daily nutritious lunches, ensuring they have the energy to learn and thrive.
Who are the beneficiaries?
More than 350 students, many from low-income families, benefit from the program.
Why is the program needed?
Hunger was a major barrier to learning. Many children came to school without having eaten, which affected their focus, health, and attendance.
